Over the past year or so, I have been forced to confront an unpleasant truth.

I am a shipper.

Now, I hope I'm not one of those crazy shippers, the ones who scream about how Zutara is canon and Kataang is evil, the ones who refuse to consider that their character ever had eyes for anyone but that one guy they brushed against in Episode Three, the ones who can squee at a level known to deafen dogs.  (My squees merely deafen siblings)

But I'm a shipper.  Sad.  But true.  I'm sorry.

So, now, in honor of finally admitting that fact, that old meme I did awhile back.  Ten ships.  The whys.  Any patterns.

Some are old, some are new.  And I'm trying to put them together by fandoms, so no particular order other than Han/Leia at the top.

1.  Han/Leia.  Always and forever, my OTP of OTPs.  I was born ten years too late for the 'ship wars, thank God, and the only competition was revealed to secretly be the twin brother.  Nonwanky.  Beautful.  And yet still all snarky and chemistry-filled and exciting.

2. Batman/Catwoman.  This is one of the few I get... testy about.  Batman has about ten million love interests, and while Catwoman is the most prominent, there's always someone else.  And because I got into this fandom at not the best of times, somehow this one literally got ingrained in my OCD to the point where things that mess with it shake me up like doing things in odd numbers used to.  I recognize this as a problem, and I really am going to do something about it.  Really.

3. Booster Gold/Blue Beetle (Ted Kord).  I still try, really, honestly I do, to ship canon.  Much less stressful, much more evidence= much more fun.  These guys aren't canon, and one of them is dead.  They are still fun as all heck, and the fandom is wonderful.

4. Guy Gardner/Ice.  I want these two to be the Next Big Comic Book Wedding.  Guy's at least B-list and moving up.  It could happen.

5. Rictor/Shatterstar.  Somehow, probably because of Marvel's whole Destruction of Marriages thing they've got going on, all of my favorite pairings in my less-favorite fandom are slash.  Two of them are canon, and this is one of them.  I noticed all the fandom fuss, lurked, checked out fanfic, and found myself owning several volumes of X-Factor.

6. Magneto/Professor X.  Okay, let me make another painful confession.  I am a Magneto fangirl.  I have no idea how it happened.  I have no idea when it happened.  I have no idead WHY the hell it happened, seeing as how I usually stick to safe targets like Zuko and don't like fangirling anyway.  Anyway, the point is, he and Charles were totally either dating at some point or wanted to be.  I'm sticking by this.

7. Billy/Teddy (Wiccan/Hulkling).  And we come to the only Marvel series I am currently buying, Avengers:Children's Crusade, or, Will They Fianlly Get To Kiss On Panel This Issue.  I swear, between it and Generation Lost, I'm beginning to consider that maybe the comics companies don't actually personally hate me.

8. Toph/Sokka.  The third noncanon pairing I ship, although onesided it si canon, at least.  Snarky and cute and a little slice of vulnerability that doesn't lessen Toph's badass, which is really tough to do.

9...  Well, I'm running out again.  Hmm.  Anne/Gilbert, I mentioned them last time.

10.  And as for ten... Clark/Lois.  I like Clark/Lois.
